He wanted to read My Side of the Mountain. I had never read it but was eager to read it with him. I loved it. I had heard of the book but didn’t really know anything about it. What a beautiful story. Will be reading the other 2 books in the trilogy. It definitely transcends age, at 65 I found I enjoyed it every bit as much as my grandson. Highly recommend for reading as a family. Lots of wonderful events to discuss and consider how you would respond in that situation. I would love to build a house in a tree, or make a suit entirely out of deerskin. Sam Gribley dealt with living up on the Catskills like it was a normal day in the city.
