Review: Good Quality, nice and juicy ink pads - I bought these because I saw a You Tube tutorial by Shari Carroll where you can use the smaller area of the ink pad (in comparison to the larger ones) to apply ink directly onto stamps and have more control over where you can apply different colors and I was shocked at how good it came out. I've tried using the large distress ink pads to stamp my stamps with and there was never enough coverage. I think the secret was how she lightly misted water over the image before stamping. It gave everything a very beautiful water color effect while still seeming to have enough crispness in the image to see the stamped image really well. I think this technique will work will with certain kinds of stamps but perhaps not all stamps. In this case she (and I) used a winter tree stamp by Hero Arts.
Review: Ink pads - I highly recommend this. They’re tiny, but I did the job I will buy again.

These mini-distress inks do all that the larger sized do at a much more affordable price. I have only about 5 of the full sized inks w/little hope of getting more as my budget is limited. Now w/this smaller size I can get new colors and still do some great resist/distress techniques on my handmade greeting cards.
