Review: Excellent USB 3.0 Hub works so well I bought another! - After purchasing a new laptop a few months ago, I knew that I would have to purchase a USB hub, as my laptop only came with 3 ports, and I needed more than just that. The result of this led me to look online, where I stumbled across this product (Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, Ultra Slim Data USB Hub with 2ft Extended Cable) as it was desertcart’s choice in USB Hub’s. After receiving the product, and using it for a few weeks, I decided to purchase another! I am excited to discuss why I like this product, and why I think that you, too, will have a great experience with ANKER (regarding this product). As usual TLDR at bottom. PRO’s -This USB hub is extremely modern and slim, which I really like the look of! About the same thickness of my laptop (maybe around 1cm or so). It is also very light, which makes it easy to throw in my bag when I need to take it on the go. -I can run my webcam, microphone, mouse, and keyboard all on the same hub! This allows for me to utilize four separate products in a hub that only takes up one port in total! This really helps since the amount of USB based products that I used greatly outnumbers the amount on my computer, and I wouldn’t be able to use products I need without this hub! Do keep in mind there is a limit for the number of devices you can place on this hub, (check on listing description for more information), but I have had no problems connecting and running what I need to on this hub). -USB Hub comes with a warranty card and instructions which are both appreciated. Also goes into detail about customer service and support, set up details, and other information regarding this product. -USB Hub is available in black (not sure if there are any other colors), but they really made a nice-looking product! Sure, there are some cheaper ones, but in my opinion, I much prefer the look and feel of this product, almost premium. Middle Ground (Product information that is not amazing but not awful) -Cable length is advertised as 2ft, which is correct. I do feel that YMMV depending on how far away your desktop PC is from where you need the USB hub to be. I use a laptop, so I never have any problems with cable length, but I don’t think if they added an extra foot or two to the length would really hurt the product. (Might be a good idea for a future model). -Product feels a tiny bit flimsy, nothing that I worry about, but be cautious of holding it too hard, as it is already thing with multiple hollowed out points for the USB slots. -There is a small LED light that indicates the USB Hub has power. It is not bright at all but sometimes that you may want to note if any light at all bothers you. Really hasn’t been a problem for me, and if it is for you, just get a piece of tape. CON’s -Fortunately, I haven’t had anything that would be a con for this product, it just is all around a great product, which is why I feel it deserves 5/5 stars. If you are looking for a USB hub, I can promise you that you won’t be disappointed! TLDR: Excellent USB Hub all Around. Double check how much cable length you need (as this is only 2ft) but asides from that highly recommend.

To ensure a stable connection, we would suggest not using this hub with high power consumption devices such as large-capacity hard drives. For a stable connection, avoid connecting devices that exceed a total of 900 mA. Devices are usually rated as follows:

**Q: Can this be used with 2.0**
A: Simple answer: yes. More detailed answer: If you plug this hub into a USB 2.0 port on your PC it will function just fine as a USB 2.0 hub (not USB 3.0). If you plug this into a USB 3.0 port on your PC you can plug both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices in and they will work correctly (USB 3.0 devices will work as 3.0 devices at the higher USB 3.0 speed; USB 2.0 devices will work as 2.0 devices at the lower USB 2.0 speed). Considering the price, size, and quality of this hub, I'd recommend buying this over a USB 2.0 hub even if you only intend to use it with USB 2.0 ports and devices -- it's only a few dollars more.

A: It charges my devices just fine. It's just not a fast charger. I can have my android watch, fitbit, and logitech gaming headset charging at the same time and they all charge just fine though.
