1.Self-Adhesive Mount, Screw Surface Mount contact, ABS Housing. Long wire lead that can side mounted. 2.Switch Type: NC means Normally Closed:When the magnet together, the circuit is conductive( light on ); when the magnet separate, the circuit is not conductive ( light off ). 3.Work as an anti-theft alarm, ideal for wood door and window. Nc: when the magnet is near, the circuit is on; When the magnet moves away and the circuit is Off. No: When the magnet is near, the circuit is off, When the magnet moves away and the circuit is ON.

Review: worked great and was much cheaper then Nexx - I purchased this set because it was a great price and I didn't feel like paying $20 for just one magnet sensor for my Nexx wifi garage opener. I got this item in today. I quickly cut the old wire that went to the nexx sensor. Twisted the wires together, added a little solder. Then I finished the job up with some heat shrink wrap. Works like a cramp now! I didn't need all 10 sensors but I figured if the original nexx sensor went out. Then over time this one would probably give out too, so with an extra 9 on hand. I no longer have to worry about it.

**Q: Can i run these in series? say i link 5, and these are normally closed, i should be able to tell if there’s at least one of the 5 open right?**
A: Yes, as any normally closed contact you can run them in series and if at least one opens it will open the whole circuit.

**Q: Could I use these to energize some led lighting inside cabinet drawers**
A: If the door magnet is to be energized, the voltage is controlled at dc0v-24v. The key point is: the load current is 100ma max.

**Q: On the non-wired magnet piece, is the magnet plate placed on the face and top, or just the face?**
A: Just the face. These are supper weak and have to be perfectly aligned to work. I would not recommend.

THESE ARE N.O. SWITCHES. These are labeled N.C. but are actually N.O. switches which is exactly what I needed. I took a chance because the description describes a N.O. switch. When the magnet is close, the switch will close. When you move the magnet away, the switch will open. Pretty common for a "fail safe" circuit for alarms. Seems like gpod quality and they do work. I would have given them a 5 star rating if the description was correct.
