**Q: Why don't you indicate the gage of the string? I will buy from another company that does give that info.**
A: The gauge (note spelling) is .74mm. (I'm reading from the actual package, but if you click on the image you should be able to see it there.)

A: this is ONE SINGLE string--just one of the D-4th-string--hope this helps!!

A: is it EXTRA HARD TENSION!! hope this helps and sorry for the confusion!!

**Q: Help me do the math here,  one string for $8 and complete set of 6 strings for $10?**
A: Simple answer -- SHIPPING COSTS.  It costs virtually the same amount to ship one string as it does 6 -- or even 12 or 18 -- strings because Amazon REQUIRES a tracking number.  That means items will cost a minimum of $3.37 PLUS the cost of the package and material even if it is going two miles.  Cross country or to PR or GU it goes up to nearly $4.00 just for the postage.  The simple answer is to shop locally and support actual brick and mortar stores before they ALL go out of business.

Good tone, good tension, long lasting. They don't stretch too much. All nylon strings have to be tuned a few times when new as they stretch but these were holding pitch well after the first day.

There are 3 major brands selling most of the classical guitar strings: Augustine, D'Addario, Saverez. D-Addario are in the middle, but can brighten up even cheaper guitars. The companies are more comparable when buying their different quality levels, like Augustine Red or D'Addario ProArte Dynacore. There are many more companies, so an online review might mention LaBella, good for folk to flamenco, and Hannabach, high end classical. For everyday playing, though, D'Addario J4505 are my go to. PROS: Normal tension, warm, balanced and last a reasonable time. CONS: Brightness fades after only moderate use. Balanced is not the same as loud and bright, like Savarez 540Rs. SUMMARY: It's probably the best selling string for a reason, price and sound. For performance, I'd choose Saverez or Hannabach.
