So they look really pretty and presentable for company, but doesn’t get full marks as a few cookies got crumbled up in shipment - kinda expected given the crust very is delicate. Overall an enjoyable cookie to nibble on along with chai.

This was a wonderful addition to a Middle Eastern dinner I cooked for my friends after my trip from the Middle East. These cookies were one of my favorite things, and where the closest to fresh mahmouls from Jordan. The date filling was so good. I loved how they were only the few simple ingredients in there! Perfect with a little cup of espresso, or for a hospitality gift. Only drawback: not nearly as large or inexpensive as those in Jordan!
