Review: Works as advertised. Take care when setting up, but it's not that hard. - I rarely write reviews but this has completely met my expectations. It's excellent, for a great price. As others have said this is not plug and play, but the setup is straightforward if you follow the instructions. I am usually the first person to discard the instructions and just try and set things up, but you can't with this. The paper instructions contain a code that you need to register the device on their website. Once you do that it's plain sailing. I also connected it to thingspeak.com and I get a nice chart to show the temperature. There is a third-party app on the iPhone to connect to thingspeak which is useful. I wish the manufacturers would create an iPhone app dedicated to this device to make things easier. It seems to work really well. I get water and temperature alerts by text and email. Note that you don't want to set the email alerts to every minute frequency. I had some condensation on the sensor and woke up to 5000 emails! I'm probably going to buy another of these devices. It does what it says and seems to work well and reliably. I'll try and post an update in a few months as we get into winter...

We had two cold snaps while gone with temps dropping to -40 deg. three days! And to know that if the temps in the house dropped below our set point or the power went out (along with our heat source) we would be notified in short order, was worth every bit of the reasonable $65 we paid. And that's just for this one trip, we now have a product we can use all the time even if only away for a day or two. Set up was quick and easy with great detailed instructions and a phone number to call if needed. This unit is well made as well with a case you could stomp on and solid leads. No doubt it'll hold up to years of use. The website is user friendly and simple to navigate. All around a great product and company!

**Q: As the lead from the sensor to the box is only 2 feet, can you mount the box to a stud or wall?**
A: Yes you cam: use either duct or double sided tape.  You may also want to look at the rugged version: it comes with a 5 foot lead which is rigidly connected to the sensor. It also comes in an enclosure which has screw mount holes.

**Q: Installed the device, configured both text and email alerts. now i receive a text alert every 6:30 mins. but no email alerts at all. why is it so?**
A: Look for an email with a subject "AWS Notification - Subscription Confirmation".  You need to click on the link in that email to confirm your subscription to email notifications. If you cannot find it, go to Configure Device, remove and then add your email again.  All email changes require subscription confirmations.

**Q: Will this work on a 220v socket, or 110v only ??**
A: It works on 110.

**Q: What water level does it detect at?**
A: I have recently purchased this item and spent a few days testing it.  In my test I placed the sensor on a plate dinner plate which contained water and it triggered a response immediately.  Based on this I would say this sensor appears to be triggered upon contact with even very low levels of water.

This is the second one I bought. Ideal for monitoring freezer or refriferator temperatures while away from home for extended times. They are easy to set up and work as described. I like being able to monitor temperature real time.
