One thing I appreciated right off the bat: it actually comes with an expiration date clearly printed on the label — which is nice because, yes, these things do go bad, even if most people forget they’re technically chemicals with a shelf life. My only complaint? The size. Unless you’re running an assembly line or building an arsenal, this bottle is overkill. I’d love to see an in-between size—bigger than a one-time-use packet, but not enough to threadlock the Pentagon’s entire inventory. ⸻ Bottom line: Performs just as well as Rocksett, comes from a reputable company, and saves a few bucks. A: I found it’s like blue Loctite

**Q: Can this be used to repair a baking dish handle on an item that would go back into a hot oven?**
A: it is water soluble.   So liquids that come in contact with it could be contaminated and it would fall apart when washed.

A: I suppose it would work good   ,it works good on muzzle breaks that get up to about 300

Love this product!!!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ excellent for gas block screws, but must be properly cured with heat to get the best results

After having set screws come loose from gas blocks, even with high temp red loctite applied, I decided to give hot lock a try since it was sold by amazon and not a 3rd party like rocksett was. After applying hot lock to the gas block set screws, they have not budged, even after extended use. The key to getting the product to cure properly is to use a heat gun. After applying the hot lock and tightening the screws, heat the screws with a heat gun. The hot lock will turn from clear to white and begin to bubble up out of the sides of the screw. Once the bubbling stops you're set to go. I used a wagner heat gun on the low setting, and it took less than 10 minutes to cure. The holding strength seems to be stronger than blue loctite. Trying to remove the set screws was starting to bend the allen wrench I was using, so I ended up putting the barrel into a pot of boiling water on the stove, with the water covering the screws to be removed. After about 5 minutes in the hot water the screws came loose easily. This is an excellent product for high temp applications, and I am 99% sure that the people who have had problems with its holding strength did not properly cure the product with heat.
