I also wanted other mounting options in case I wanted to move it. It came with 3M strip that was the length of holder as well as screws. Installation was easy although the screw mount metal cover-plate gave me a bit of a wrestling match to get it off but I took that as a good sign the magnet was heavy duty. The magnet back was very strong and once on the refrigerator, it was not easy to move. I will agree with other reviews the back edge is sharp so do not drag it across the surface to reposition as I am sure it will scratch. I recommend lifting it off to reposition - again a bit of a tug of war to get it off. I am not a lightweight but you are trying to lift with just your finger tips 😁. The front magnet is also very strong and fits 5 knives including my large chef knife, probably could get a sixth on it but I like the spacing to get to the handles . The knives didn’t move when touched so no wobble, swinging or sliding when you pushed with a finger. I love the clean line look of the holder and the knives are now out of reach of little hands and no accidental nicks to the fingers when they were in the drawer. I did a little comparison shopping and bought another brand (few $$ cheaper) that promoted very similar features however Modern Innovations outperformed so the other was returned.
