Don't know about the S4, but have a hunch it won't work. **Q: I have now had my pen for 2 months and now it will not connect to my phone. Is there something i need to do to get it to connect properly?** A: Try the "reset s pen" option in Settings - Advanced - Spen. If the option doesn't show there you will need to use the S Pen Air Actions by swiping down from the top of the screen then swipe down one more time to show all the different buttons, scroll right to left to find the "S Pen Air Actions" button and hold for a second which should take you directly to the settings menu for that option, click the 3 dots on the top right corner of the screen and the option "Reset S Pen" will be there (assuming it wasn't in the previous menu option I mentioned), it will take a few minutes to connect, if it doesn't then there's something wrong with the pen itself, so many cheap and nasty "replacements" out there, I'm stuck with one that doesn't have Bluetooth at all so absolutely won't connect no matter what so I can't use the button even if it wasn't a fake button in the first place! 🤣 Realistically, buying a replacement directly from Samsung's website is the best option not to get ripped off constantly with cheap nasty things like this, it's far more expensive in one go but at least you know you're getting the quality product you wanted in the first place, and buying cheap and nasty items like these all the time is going to cost more in the long run.
