## Description

Product description Clannad ~ Banba desertcart.com Though not their best effort, this 1994 release from Clannad is very good. It has a strong pop orientation, tinged with the Celtic influences that have always been a hallmark of Clannad's music. Those songs where these influences are strongest are also the strongest songs on the album; "Caide Sin Do'n Te Sin" is especially memorable, and "Na Laethe Bi" and "Banba Oir" are strong efforts as well. Of the more pop-flavored material, "Sunset Dreams" and "The Other Side" are probably the best. Banba also features "I Will Find You", which Clannad recorded for the 1992 film version of "Last of the Mohicans". --Genevieve Williams

Review: Maybe Clannad's best? - "Banba" may take a while to grow on you, depending on which Clannad "sound" you like most. This album has a greater number of commercial-sounding tracks on it, but the sheer vocal and instrumental artistry lifts them out of the ordinary. Elevator music they're not. Styles vary quite a bit, from the ghostly instrumentals which seem to ebb and flow without discrete note on tracks such as Na Leithe Bhi and I Will Find You, to the rhythmic drum line and driving electric guitar work (yep!) on Struggle (which I often skip) - it's still Clannad quality though. There's the calmer almost country-sounding Sunset Dreams, and the bright but not dominant saxophone work on There For You and Soul Searcher. There are only three songs in Gaelic - Na Leithe Bhi, Banba Oir, and the haunting bilingual Caide Sin Do'n Te Sin - but they make up for this with some Mohican lyrics in I Will Find You! Standout tracks for me are the rhythmically sparkling Banba Oir, the hypnotic and compelling Mystery Game, and the simple but memorable Soul Searcher. Currently my favourite Clannad album.
Review: Great Product - Beautiful. I love it

Beautiful. I love it

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is for the Remastered version of "Clannad" (blue background on cover)
*by T***S on April 21, 2014*

The only difference I was able to detect between this Remastered version of the "Clannad" album and the standard one is that there is an extra track of "I will find you" at the end of it. It is very pleasant, but it is simply a variation on the original song. This version of this album was somewhat difficult to actually find and order. Truthfully, I don't know that I would do it again. I love the album, but I suppose I hoped that all of the songs would have been remastered. "Sunset Dreams" is one of the very most beautiful, most moving songs I have ever heard. For me, it was worth it to order the entire remastered album just on the mere chance that there might have been something that might have enhanced my enjoyment of this one song. There wasn't, but I'm glad I ordered it anyway.
