The soles are very cushy and not flat, which can be hard on your back. While I usually don't like thong-style shoes, because my toes don't like things between them (!) I hardly noticed it with this pair. I wore them all day to a wine festival and at the end of the day everything about me was tired except for my feet! I wear a true 8 and these are a perfect fit. They are cute with jeans or a skirt, dressed up or down. The red is lady bug red, not burgundy or orange. It's so nice to wear a pair of sandals that are stylish and comfortable. Usually you have to sacrifice one for the other. On top of all that, the price was right!
