I’ve always breezed through tests: as a junior I made a 30 on the ACT and never retook it, and I made a 99 on the ASVAB. But when I went to take the LSAT years after going to selection, I knew I was in danger of letting my older brother beat me on a test for the first time. This book taught me to beat the logic puzzles, which are the real challenge on the LSAT. Ended up scoring a 161 after just three days of studying. Not an elite score, but plenty good enough for a scholarship at the school I was trying to get into. Review: A Good Way to Familiarize Yourself with the LSAT - I've found this book to be a pretty good resource. They give background on all the question types you may find on the LSAT and suggestions for how to approach them. They include examples from previous tests and explanations for the answers. The book includes 3 previously administered LSATs with detailed explanations for the answers. Unfortunately, they are a bit older, so they don't have comparative reading questions. There is one example included with the background section though. This book has 3 prep tests along w/ explanations and answers. After PowerScores great info I felt that the tips section of this book was lacking but not a waste of time, simply not in depth enough for me. This is a good practice book and I truly appreciated that the question difficulty was noted, which helped me better gauge my level of understanding.
