A: From memory of a year ago this unit didn't do sterting wheel controls... I could be wrong though

A: It is a standard din sized stereo. Mk6 interior viewed online seems to show a built in double height stereo as standard. Facia adapters are available to convert the space you have to single din.Google mk6 stereo facia adapter.
