Overall it's very solid, but the little metal ~ shaped prongs do can out every once in a blue moon. Just pressing it a bit against the lip of the basket will put them back into alignment, but eventually I had one break on me after several years of use. No big deal though, even with just two it holds together well. I bought this as a backup just in case something happens to one of the other prongs. Hole size is what one would expect, small and plentiful. It has a one piece basket so there is nothing to go wrong there. The lid secure on well by three fingers that mate with three slots, just pay attention to what your doing and it works just fine. My surprise is that those things aren't the standard. I bought this and a different similar one about the same price, the basket on the other is stamped from a ribbon, rolled into the taper and spot welded together. A separate bottom is stamped from a disc with a tapered lip that, I guess, was supposed to be spot welded to the body but being a separate loose piece makes it pretty worthless.
