**Q: Can those of you who have both the Hario pot and this pot tell me if their lids are interchangeable (exact same size)?  My hario lid just broke...**
A: Yes the lids are interchangeable

**Q: This is a serious question. Has anyone ever found that drinking directly from the carafe, other than looking foolish, is a viable option?**
A: It’s possible, but I wouldn’t do it. The ridges would make it difficult to drink out of, it would be hot to the touch and may burn your hand, and the pouring spout would get in the way. So yes, but I would strongly recommend against drinking straight out of the carafe. Just use a mug.

**Q: What is the diameter of the base? (Just the round part and not including the handle.)**
A: Its approximately 4.75 inches.

**Q: How difficult/easy is it to clean? The openings seem small...**
A: it's perfectly easy to clean. yes, the opening is a bit small but any standard sponge fits in there just fine. have had no problems cleaning it.

I bought this as it was a less expensive option for other brand server... and even though it was less expensive it seems like very good quality... I did receive this item with a very tiny hairline crack which prompted me to message the seller. Immediately i received a response and the company stood behind their product 100% as I received a replacement. I don't think this is the fault of the company and you have to keep in mind you are shipping glass; the potential for breakage is usually high with this stuff.... I've had the product for about 2 months now and I feel confident that this product will last... It does feel fragile but I have used it every single day for coffee and so far no complaints. I looks really nice and use it a lot for the looks... I would definitely buy this again and recommend it.
