I actually purchased a fireplace mount but when it arrived I didnt have enough clearance, so I had to return it and start my search all over again. I found this unit along with a few other motorized units. The issue I ran into was most of these motorized units were only to be mounted right side up. I actually needed the TV to drop down and not raise up. I contacted a few of the manufacturers and they told me their particular units could not be mounted upside down. I tried contacting Mount It but did not get a reply to the answer if it could be mounted in an upside down position. There were a few other units that are very similar and less expensive than this unit but I liked the remote better than the other units it didnt look as "cheap" so I decided to go with this unit and give it a shot. I really love how this turned out! I mounted the unit upside down and it works like a charm! Review: Good but be aware of how it operates. - Works well on a 42 inch tv in our motorhome. Lacks some safety features. This lift is powerful and could pinch a hand or finger. We installed below a cabinet and when we didn’t stop it going up it crunched the bottom of the cabinet. I know it days says max 48" but why not a larger tv** A: I’m using it on a 32 inch monitor. I don’t think weight is the concern the motor is pretty strong but mounting points are pretty close together so balance may be a concern. Also length of travel may not allow for the full range to lift a larger tv from hidden to displayed. **Q: I have a 43" diagonal (24" height) tv. at the lowest position, how high off the ground will the bottom of the tv be?** A: It depends on how you mount it, there are several ways to adjust it for both low height or high height. I used it to build a hide-a-desk with a 32 inch monitor. The monitor is 17.5 inches tall, at the lowered position it is 19.5 inches from the floor of the cabinet, the raised height I have it set to is 40 inches from the bottom of the cabinet. **Q: Does 4” profile mean this will put the back of the Tv 4” from the wall?** A: Approximately, yes. The stops are not adjustable. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Its okay *by D***. on August 14, 2024* Major complaints are the foot design, which is just confusing and straight up weird and unstable, and no wifi control. Also the cords are un-necessarily complex, the mounting hardware is lacking and you can't pause it mid-operation, so its either fully up or fully down, and the travel is not adjustable either. I got this model because I wanted something with a slim profile I could install inside of a low half-wall for a whiteboard. For that application, it does okay. I realize its probably not designed for the use to which I've put it and as a result, it is a bit wobbly when we try to write on it, but overall it actually works decently and all things considered and I can't fault it for not being rock solid when that's obviously not its intended use.
