Review: Secure Fit, relatively easy, no modifications for 2008 Lexus RX400h key conversion - Better than expected. I didn't need to modify either the original metal key nor the new plastic case pieces. the old metal key is a very tight fit but skillfully using a vise grip plier I was able to squeeze the plastic sheath all the way down flush with top of metal key - in retrospect cleaning the metal key using a good scouring pad or even some steel wool to remove old grime and grease then lubricating the key with some very light oil would have made sliding the new plastic sheath over the old key would have made an even better fit without the risk of damaging the plastic piece with the vise grips - fortunately I did not damage anything and I didn't need to cut or modify the kit nor did I have to grind the key. The Gold Lexus Log engraved on the back is a real bonus!! Considering what Lexus charges for a replacement body this is a real bargain - it appears that the quality of the plastic is as good or better than the original - very secure, no wiggle at all - all parts nice and tight and firm - feels strong and secure and looks better than new.

**Q: Does it have the gold “L” on the back of each key?**
A: This is only a plastic case to hold your key.  The origional Lexus plastic case breaks and this is a good replacement for the broken origional case.  There is no key

**Q: Are there instructions?**
A: I purchased the Replacement Keyless Entry Remote for Lexus Keys Housing about a year ago to replace my existing remote for a 2003 LS 430.  Instructions were included with the kit.  They are not overly detailed and the install itself is a bit tricky, but I managed it and I would think you could also. The replacement remote has worked perfectly once the key was installed.

**Q: Does this fit for Lexus 2008 rx400h? And is it easy to remove the stuff from inside?**
A: Not sure if this fits for the Lexus 2008 RX400H, we used it for the RX350. It was very easy to remove the insides and transfer to replacement key.

**Q: do you sell plain keys?**
A: At present, only these products displayed in the store

Better than expected. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Save a ton of money

Here's the trick with this thing....to get it through the plastic housing, get the bare key started and apply just enough force to get it near the bottom. I was not able to get it to seat completely with bare hands, for fear of breaking it. I used 2 pairs of pliers, carefully on each side of the plastic and squeezed at the same time and the key slid right into place. Make sure the hole is lined up perfectly. Snap it all together and tighten with the screw. Only 4 stars though, as others have mentioned, the fit is not perfect. There is a gap along the end with the screw, and it is completely tightened. It is not a big gap, maybe 1mm, but it is there. Seems like a non-issue, and considering my local safe/key shop wanted $89 for one of these (!!!!), I am more than pleased!
