    Amazing Album

This is a great album. I was first introduced to post-rock through Explosions in the Sky (though both bands reject this label) and was impressed with their work. This album rivals anything that Explosions has put out. It has a slightly warmer feel than Explosions--in that the riffs have a slightly more upbeat quality. Young Mountain also holds a solid melody throughout each song that creates a theme within the song without getting lost too much in the jamming-out chaos that is prevalent in some post-rock (although this album does have some great jam sessions in it as well!) The melody does become a little repetitive in some songs. My friend thinks it's too repetitive, but I don't mind. This is a must-have-album if you are at all remotely interested in post-rock music. And if you are new to the post-rock scene this is a good album to wet your feet with.

I'm glad we live in a world where fairly obscure, decade-old albums are available on vinyl. It feels nice to hold this album the way it's held me for nearly one-third of my life.

Very good Album although it is somewhat short. The Beauty of these Songs make up for it. The Music takes me to Places in my Head that I've never been before. The Band resembles to me of Sigur Ros, Radiohead, The Cure, Mogwai, Slowdive, and others in this Genre of Beautiful Music.If you like any of the Bands I've listed then you'll love this Band. Just remember no Lyrics. Doesn't matter cause they still get there point across with just the Music.
