These provide a waterproof connection, are simple to use and are recognised as original equipment 2 / 3 WIRE OPTIONS AVAILABLE - Both versions provide a reliable means of connecting PE or PVC insulated copper or aluminium Telephone conductors without the need to strip the core insulation. Simply insert the matching colours and press the cap shut SUPERIOR GEL PROPERTIES - Only the genuine BT clear connectors will protect IDC contacts from the oxidative effects of moisture in the long run. Most of the imitation multi coloured, non industry standard connectors are filled with inferior Vaseline TRY USING YOUR HANDS - It is possible to close these by hand by pressing them firmly from the back up against any flat surface. It is better to avoid standard pliers as these close the connectors at an angle due to the non-parallel action of the jaws CORRECT CONNECTION - Once the lid is closed squarely a connection is made. If you do decide to use standard pliers you will need to work your way around the connector top ensuring that it is evenly closed. An angled lid prevents even wire contact"

I used these to connect my solar panel box socket plug to my outdoor solar light. It made the procedure quick and effortless. I simply cut off the broken solar panel wire then pushed the new solar socket wire and the string lights wire into the BT-2 connector and crimped together using pliers. Everything works perfectly.
