PTFE is a premium performance engineering plastic with excellent resistance to water, gases, oils, fuels, steam and chemicals. This material is also very capable of operating at very high and low temperatures. Designed for high spec sealing gasket making. PTFE sheet has superb electrical insulating properties with also a very low coefficient of friction and is often used in food contact applications. PTFE can be difficult to bond and isn't suitable for wear applications.

I used this product to replace the ram slipper bearing on my log-splitter. The old one had worn through after too mayny years of use. The product cuts easily, drills easily and provided the non-stick, low friction surface needed. Might buy the thicker version next time, but I will be buying again
