I inherited a recipe from a Hawai'i Gas Company natural gas bill form the mid-sixties that was, undoubtedly the best, but that recipe has disappeared after several moves. This Kentuckyaki sauce gets very close. Has a soft Bourbon flavor but not overwhelming. We used it for a marinade on steaks we put on the grill. For two people we used 1/3rd of the bottle in the marinade. A bit pricey to use in this fashion but it was kind of a cooking experiment for us. One negative - bottle was delivered properly shrink wrapped sealed but cap was broken beneath the seal, likely from over tightening at the factory, did not appear to be a shipping error.
