Review: Delightful! - I enjoyed this movie. It isn't easy to make a good movie with an ensemble cast but the writer/director did it, giving enough information on each character (except for the youngest boy) to add to their part in the story. The murder plot takes you to the very end which a good "who done it" does, you don't know until the very end who did it and why. I did not mind Daniel Craig's southern gentleman accent, good or bad as it was. His character was essential to the story, was multi dimensional and smarter than he appeared. This is just delightful entertainment. It seemed they used some of the same props as another great "who done it", Sleuth and incorporating Sherlock Holme's words, "Watson game is afoot". The movie does NOT take itself seriously but entertainingly with each character entertaining the audience with their drama. Warning - vague spoilers ahead. The cover and the cast lull you into thinking this is like an Agatha Christie with a dozen possible killers with interwoven intrigues and alibis. Well, it's not quite that. There's an ensemble cast but no ensemble plot; the story is really just about a couple of people (plus the victim of course) and the rest just feel like bystanders, although they're cleverly cast bystanders who act their parts well. The cinematography, sets, and sound are all competent enough.
