The build was even better than I had hoped. It is made of stainless steel and brass, comes with a very nice nylon bag with drawstring and the entire thing weighs in right at 10 ounces (9.25 oz stove / .75 oz bag). It is a bit hefty for the micro-light backpacker who prefers everything to be made from titanium, but hey, it's perfectly acceptable for the rest of us. It all folds together very nicely into a package just 2.5 x 3 x 4", small enough to fit inside even the smaller backpacking cookware sets.The output rating on the box says 3500W, but I'm not really sure what that means. In fact, I'm not sure what most of the information on the box means...it was clearly translated by poorly written piece of Chinese/English software. But really, what do you need to know to operate it...it's a gas stove. What I do know is this baby puts out a tremendous flame when turned all the way up. A bit fear inspiring in fact! I have no doubt it would blow through the bottom of a cheap aluminum pot if it were to boil dry. That said, you can turn it down to a very low flame and simmer all day long. I even use mine with a GSI 2.7 liter pressure cooker which requires precise heat control once full pressure is attained. Even in this application works great.The stove has a hose that connects to a standard isopropane canister, readily available at most sporting goods stores, WalMart, here on Amazon, etc. The exterior of the hose is woven steel, is quite flexible and has a control dial that allows for infinite and very precise control of the flame. The hose is long enough to keep the canister a good distance from the burner (roughly 12") and therefore allow the use of a windscreen (unlike the small top of canister stoves such as MSR's Pocket Rocket). Note, this stove does not include a windscreen.The tripod base design is very stable and capable of supporting larger pots with ease. The top edge has serrated teeth to help prevent the pot from slipping.Now for the bad: The stove is made in Hong Kong and I'm not sure if (or where) one would get it serviced, or find washers or other parts when the day comes.To date I've purchased two of these stoves. The first came with minor damage, but rather than send it back I did some careful creative bending and it looks and works as good as new. The second one was fine, but the box (which was packed carefully inside a larger box) was crushed. It had clearly been opened and resealed before being shipped to me by Amazon! This didn't happen in shipment, but rather before Amazon put it in the larger box to ship it. Nonetheless, the stove was fine...I'm just sayin'!!!All in all, I like the stove. It's a winner and for $21 bucks and change, I'm a happy self-proclaimed gourmet chef!
