Fairly easy to open for my hands. The plastic is sturdy enough to through into a bag and not get smashed. I did drop it after I had loaded and the tops came open and spilled, so there's that. Still a good design and I loved the selections of colors. I ordered the dark and clear so I can easily separate my morning and night pills.
