Trouble No More is a very good album. A lot of the songs on this album were not written by Mellencamp. These are other American songwriters from older blues songs to recent. This provides a refreshing punch to the story lines of his songs. 2. Mellencamp is a very good performer. He delivers these songs with a tight, rich presentation. Trouble No More was a pivotal album for Mellencamp in helping him to define the sound and tone of the autumn of his career. JM and his band deliver an amazing performance on this album.The stripped down version of Small Town is a special surprise.There are not many live recordings of Mellencamp.
