I have slim 13.5" calves and was looking for riding-style boots that would fit snug around the calves. Tried all Blondo boots available on Amazon, including those that had narrow styles, but they all were too wide around the calf. Sent 8 pair back before settling on Verga. With 13.5" calves, the N (narrow) width fits like a glove with tights or leggings, so I am guessing that M (standard) width will be ideal for 14-14.5" calves. Because the material is soft and stretchy, it also stretches nicely and comfortably around skinny jeans. If you have slim calves and are looking for boots with no gaps, this is your model. They wear very comfortably outside and indoors.STYLE. A simple design and the combination of shiny and textured leather makes them very elegant, unique and intelligently understated. I call this "Claire Underwood style", and they will fit her wardrobe perfectly. The only slight downside for me is that they are about 2" shorter of being the perfect knee-high length for a tall person (5'8" and above). They still look fantastic, but in my ideal world they would be 2" taller. I wear these boots. But, I honestly have to say that the calf portion is very snug - no tucking in of jeans and I can barely zip up when wearing leggings. The boot does have a tendency to scrunch down when wearing, which gives me the added exercise of pulling them up. I use inserts because of my flat feet, which helps with wearing and walking. The boot is snug but I can wear a not-too-bulky ankle sock. Any other longer sock would not allow me to zip up, even with the stretchy calf. I have a narrow foot and the medium width worked in the ankle area. I wear my boots with leggings and I am also pleased with how they fit in the calf. Most boots have too much space in the calf for me and these fit snug against my leg.If you want to tuck in jeans you may have a problem though . Not sure there is room enough unless you have really thin calves. I also have the Inya Blondo boot in 9 medium.
