Review: Good GF Dark Soy Sauce - Nice mellow flavor. Pad see ew recipe came out good. Best gluten-free version of black soy sauce. They didn't have it at any of the local Adian markets. Glad they're carrying this online. Note: To open it, you have to cut the tip off the top of the bottle - for those that have never opened these style of bottles.

**Q: Is this the same as the same brands “sweet” soy sauce?**
A: I haven’t compared them, but the black soy sauce definitely has a sweet, carmelized flavor. Not like regular soy sauce.

**Q: How do I open this?**
A: I take the cap off, forcibly if necessary with a can opener or a knife. Then I put a spout on it, like for olive oil or alcoholic beverage bottles, makes it much easier than shaking it up and down 200 times. Lol.

**Q: Is black soy sauce the same as thick caramel sauce?**
A: No.  It’s soy sauce.  But sweet,

**Q: What starch?**
A: The only ingredient in the black soy sauce is soy. There is some starch in soy, although very little, however to the best of my knowledge, that starch has to be listed to comply with USDA requirements.
