Review: Good tuner but not more precise than cheaper or free apps - Well it works well,I have tested it with another much cheaper tuner associated with tuner free mobile apps , for me it doesn't work more precisely than the much cheaper tuner or the free mobile apps,it is pleasant to use but I prefer versions which associate number with the notes like B3,E4 etc specially when changing the strings and tuning from scratch as I broke strings by tuning them too high in that circumstance! So To conclude I don't think it is necessary to buy such expensive tuner when much cheaper or even good free mobile apps can now do at least the same job...

**Q: What are the differences between all of them?**
A: According to Snark's website, the ST-2 has a mic and vibration sensor, the ST-8 appears to be vibration only, the ST-8Hz adds Hertz Tuning for 1/10th of 1 Hz Accuracy.  The ST-2 replaces the SN-2, the ST-8 replaces the SN-8, etc.  They do still show the originals on their website.  However, Snark doesn't show the SN1X, SN5X, or SN6X on their website any longer.  I assume they are discontinued.

**Q: is this the best choice for a banjo uke?**
A: Yes, I believe it would be the best choice. The ST-2 is an all instrument tuner. I hope this was helpful.

**Q: Does snark st-2 work with 1/2 cello？**
A: Yes, it’s chromatic so it will work. We have found proper placement is key in order for it to register  well. Like clipping it to the bridge for example.

**Q: Does this work for a double bass?**
A: Yes, this will work just fine for a double/upright bass.
