Will this be an issue with the flow connectors?** A: Yes you need at least 24" but 36 would be better. The connectors are app. 5" and the hoses are pretty stiff so they don't bend well. I have the same space in my stand and I had to cut out the back to slide it farther back and then I have to disconnect the hoses before I can remove the unit. I will get another stand as soon as I can. You also want at least 20 inches between the top of the tank and the unit. **Q: Can the Fluval G3 water flow be adjusted?** A: Yes its in the instructions. Just lift the silver lever until you get the flow you want, and then leave it there. **Q: would the G6 handle a 320 gal tank** A: Spec says.....80-160 US Gallon which pretty much speaks for itself. get the Fluval FX6 which has a much higher output and made for bigger tanks......even with this filter you need more circulation for a tank of that size. Most specifications are on the high end. I personally wouldn't go bigger than a 100 gallon with the G6 **Q: Could I put polishing pads in one of the baskets?** A: Yes you can choose to use them, but put them in the bottom basket because the flow is sucked up and you can cut you flow rate when the polishing clothe gets sucked in up against water return filter screen. (I thought I broke mine then I took it apart and found my mistake). I use a foam pad versus poly fill tho and then just rinse it every month.
