First, I can tell at a glance if the tire pressure is correct during my pre trip walk around. The unit face is a uniform color and there is even a line across the indicator at the exact pressure. I found this line to match the calibrated pressure gauge I use. The other great thing about the product is the ease of filling the tires. Duals are always a problem because the stem is always in an awkward position and you have to get in the dirt to inflate the tire. With this device installed the fill stem sticks directly outward near the hub. Filling is easier than most automotive tires. Finally, while I can not be sure it was the crossfire unit, I did get slightly better fuel economy on my most recent trip of 500 miles. I have a valve stem tire pressure monitoring system and it works just fine connected to the fill stem on the Crossfire. Thumping works ok, but these crossfire equalizers provide a quick visual go/ no go confirmation for the 16 tires I need to check quickly on a tractor trailer. Easy to install. They really do keep the pressures equalized, which should really help tire wear stay uniform over the life of a matched set of 8 tires. This product keeps your inner tires from being higher pressure than your outers after heavy brake use like going down a steep grade. I also have learned that they leak. **Q: which one i should get,if i want to keep at least 100 psi in my tires?** A: the one that's made for 100 psi. They make them for just about any air pressure. If they don't have 100 lbs. they do have a 105 psi which would work **Q: Is this just the ball or the bar that changes from yellow to red or black. 10lbs +/-** A: No ball or bar. It's a guage preset to the air pressure range you choose. The guage shows the set air pressure before the trip. After the tires get hot, the guage goes into the Red, as it should. If you suddenly loose pressure it goes into the black and the one-way stops further air leak. **Q: I generally runn 100psi in my tires what unit should I buy? Do I need to allow for heat expansion** A: Jus get the 100psi one. Yes there's going to be some heat expansiΓ³n.
