I have the same manual on a CD but if you want to refer to and work on you car you really need this book. It is, however, not perfect. Most if not all of the writing is done from the point of view as if you had a right hand drive car so you have to do a few mental backflips occasionally to understand what they mean. Also "English" terminology is used as well which sometimes you really have to think about what is written the way it is written to understand what they really mean. Finally, and this is probably my biggest gripe, is that as the models have changed over the years there are cases where the book doesn't accurately document these changes. So if you try to do some procedure and follow the instructions in the manual it just won't work the way they described. Working on the dash in my car I've had to discover on my own how to do things that weren't accurately covered in the book which has taken a lot longer than it should have. That's really the whole point of having the book. I'm sure there will be others ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must have! *by J***Y on May 4, 2025* "Must have" reference we are going to own come or work on, an E-Type Jaguar. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must have if you're going to work on your E-Type *by B***E on August 6, 2010* This book is pretty much essential if you're going to do any work on your Jaguar E-Type. The book contains descriptions of maintenance tasks that you'll need to perform. It is quite complete and has sections for 3.8 and 4.2 models, although the 4.2 is an addendum so you need to look in both sections. It does however make a lot of assumptions (e.g. would be nice if they did things like outlining bolt sizes and so on so you can get the right tools out for the job) and there could be more diagrams included.
