I have been trying to design a water system for my chickens and quail for 3 months. I tried the horizontal waterers which on an inside coup set up leak into the litter even if they are installed properly. I scraped those and tried the red water cups. That fixed all the left over water from entering the coup but the problem is they are not reliable. When they fail it’s a pita. I tried several different manufacturers and they all leak at some point causing a wet litter liquid manure mess I have to clean up. I can’t say how happy I am to find these. Reliable and even have a spring option to fill cup only half full so if you raise meat chickens they don’t splash everywhere. The egg layers are more precise and don’t splash but this is a great option for meat birds. Honestly this set up has been a life saver and I can’t thank you guys enough for making such a great thought out product. I had read several reviews that the insulation process was difficult for others and they were unable to get it not to leak out the gate. With some tlc and plumber's putty it was great. But, after 6 mo it has started leaking from the cups and I have tried everything to get it to stop. Springs look good, cups are in good shape, cleaned all parts.... Unfortunately, I have replaced it the system. Maybe, others will have better luck? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m happy *by W***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 28, 2020* Set up is fairly straightforward. Make sure to use lots of PTFE tape. Also, angle the whole bar so that the cups are titled down just slightly and they pretty much won’t leak. I hope to get a year out if it— I think the other parts will last longer than the cups, but they might be more durable as long as you’re very gentle with cleaning them and rotating them. Definitely happy with it.
