(Satechi Tech Support) **Q: Will this work for the new m1 Mac mini?** A: This is a great add for my 2018, ie “2020” Mac mini but mine is not the M1. Based on my research I would think it could but double check the Thunderbolt connection. I recently bought an external HD that would not work on my 2018 model because the drive used a USB-C 3.1 and I guess mine are 3.0. I got it to work using the normal USB but that wasn’t my goal. You may experience the same here. You’re basically trading a Thunderbolt port to add 2 USB and media card slots. Probably not shielded well enough as suggested in some forums. It seemed that many were happy using this Satechi hub so got myself one and my wi-fi issues was instantly solved!
