However, if you want to get the optimum signal to noise ratio out of the system, you need the streamer to provide enough signal level (voltage) to the amplifier sufficiently drive it. As an experiment, crank up your amplifier all the way without providing a signal. Do you hear the hiss? That is the amplifier's noise floor. If you then give the amp a little signal from the streamer (playing the streamer at a very low volume on the app), that same level of hiss (noise) will be present, in a much lower ratio of signal to that noise than if you had the app volume turned up and the amp turned down. So for optimum signal to noise ratio, put the app volume at 100% (or close) and control the listening volume with the amp volume control. But it's obviously more convenient to control the volume using the phone app. I typically set the app volume at about 2/3, and then turn the amp up to the volume level that I want. Then if I want to turn up a song I have room to do that on the phone app. It's a compromise. **Q: Can this device add Airplay to my existing bluetooth speaker?** A: Arylic products currently support AirPlay 1, and will support AirPlay 2 in the near future. **Q: Does it have optical input? There is optical input in the picture, but no optical input in the video and the menu.** A: The S50 Pro + does have an optical input (also a sub output and a trigger output) that an earlier model, the S50 Pro does not have. Unfortunately the Amazon S50 Pro + page shows a mixture of these two products causing confusion. I have the S50 Pro and it definitely does not have an optical input. **Q: can i stream pandora, spotify from 'web browser' on pc? I only see from cell phone.** A: You can enter your device IP in your browser and then you can use our web player to control the device.
