This product is easy to use and does an AMAZING job getting your knives sharp. If/when done properly, your knives will be sharper than when you purchased them. Great product. Also, FYI, be sure to go on YouTube for some instructions so that you can watch how it's done. I binged like 10 videos to learn everything I could beforehand, it definitely helps. UPDATE: Like most knife nerds/sharpeners, I have since purchased other whetstones. Although this whetstone combo works well, the 1000 grit is not as coarse as other whetstones that cut faster. The 6000 grit is fantastic. It's actually softer that many 8000 grit stones.
