It's slim and build quality is fine, doesn't feel cheap. It covers very well all the sides and fits perfectly. It's slim and thin, doesn't add much. The free screen protector is good. I actually like it. It's very clear and smooth. It's a film so very thin. (I don't like glass protectors cuz of thickness.) I may try other cases and screen protectors later but I'll use these for now. It really is a very slim case that fits the phone perfectly (see below for some unintended side-effects, though). The port cutouts are comfortably larger than the ports themselves, so you won't have any trouble plugging in your headphones or USB cable. The cutouts for the power button and volume rocker are deep and make it really easy to differentiate between the two.The case itself is pretty sturdy for how thin it is. I've already dropped my phone once and I'm glad I had the case on it 😌.The strap attachment slot is really shallow. I don't have anything to try out with it, but it seems like you would need to use a very thin string.I said earlier that the case is extremely slim; this may not be a good thing depending on how you want to use it. I have a magnetic phone mount in my car, which requires that a thin metal backing plate be installed in your phone so it has something to stick to. In my old phone, the metal plate fit inside the battery cover (it's a really thin piece of metal). Since the 5X doesn't have a removable battery, I bought this case so I could put the metal plate inside it. Unfortunately, the case fits the phone so well that there's no space for the plate! Not really a con since most people want a case to protect their phone without adding bulk and this case specifically advertises itself as "**Essential Ultra Thin**".Overall, it's a 5-star case for the price. Some people will say that the black one gets oily with use, and that's true, but it's removed very easily with some alcohol. Besides, you should be cleaning your phone with alcohol every so often to kill bacteria anyway.It does not cover any of the ports and even comes with a good screen protector. I've seen some screen protectors that are more easily applied, with removable stickers and all, but it's still not a bad deal. Sometimes it's available for even less than $10, more like $5 with coupon codes but I couldn't do without the case so I got it early.Long story short, it works as advertised.
