Review: Control boxes for a boat under-seat freezer and refrigerator units. - Item worked as expected, cut the center of the back leaving about 3/4' around and put a hole through front cover to hold the rheostat. Then installed cover back on housing changed the screws to stainless. Installed a rheostat to control a freezer & refrigerator temp in a boat. Needed to cut the back out to allow installation because wires could not be cut. The housing is water resistant now and is stronger than original. This should handle the abuse from boat traffic bumping into it.

I don't require a large amount of water resistance but this should be more than enough. The seal material (included) easily goes into the grove and must be cut since it's bit too long. But the seal seems really good after getting all the bolts tightened down. I would use this again for anything similarly sized.
