It freezes when the phone is turned on, when you open an app, when you're just swiping from one screen to another. It takes a few minutes for the screen to shut itself off when the phone is turned off or i press the sleep button...I know because the screen stays lit but its all black. I thought it was just the first screen I recieved from them - so I ordered a replacement and the same thing happened.
