## Description

The Skytech AF-LMF/R gas valve kit was developed to provide safe, reliable, user-friendly control for gas heating appliances. This safety pilot kit was designed to be used with 18 to 30-inch gas logs sets. The AF-LMF/R features manual On/Off gas valve with solenoid and a remote control with On/Off function. It includes a complete pilot assembly with 30-millivolt thermocouple, On/Off remote control, damper clamp, and all connectors for the main burner and pilot. The kit is for use with natural gas (NG) vented logs. An optional LP conversion kit is available and sold separately.

Review: Very easy to connect and program the remote plus it worked immediately! - Easy install took about an hour to 90 minutes, including sinking the remote to the gas valve. Mach is easier to use than the old variable flame unit I had. The simplicity of on/off is perfect.
Review: Will not last. Ultimately frustrating. Look here for a fix - I have two of these units. One is working properly, the other works only for a period of time then shuts off. Fought it for several hours. I’m handy, this thing is difficult and frustrating. Enough so where I pulled it out tonight and put it where it belongs, in the trash. I don’t know what a better alternative remote control unit is, but this one stinks. Basically, the thermocouple/ pilot on these go bad every few months in not sooner. In Texas, I have to change out the thermocouple assembly twice a season for it to continue to function properly. I have tried buying replacements on desertcart and at Home Depot. It’s frustrating, but changing this whenever the unit fails to stay on is the only way to fix it I have found. I’ve taken the old ones and tried to clean the thermocouple, blow out the gas tube with a compressor etc, I never get them to work right again. It’s not supposed to be a consumable part. Sky tech is aware of this issue. Hope this helps someone.
