I used this thermostat on a rental property of mine where I pay the heat bill and the tenant abuses it.For heat: the temp caps out at 72 deg F. You can not set this thermostat higher than 72 deg F.Now one of the reviews said that this thermostat would let you SET the temp to whatever you want but would secretly cap at 72 deg F.For example my tenant could set it to 80 deg F and it would show 80 deg F on the selector display, but the internal programing would limit it to 72 deg F. This arrangement would be ideal for keeping a tenant happy without constant arguments/ or them trying to change thermostat when I'm not there.Unfortunately this is NOT HOW IT WORKS. Now it it's probably just misinformation from the review I read that got my hopes up, but this thermostat limits the display to 72 deg F. My point is, the tenant after trying to raise temp would definitely know the temp is being limited; they can not set it any higher than 72 deg F.The thermostat limits the temp great and will save you money.
