I loved both CD's and I hope that Robert does another big collection of B-Sides, obscurities, live acts and covers soon. His versatility, vocal range, and ability to take songs and make them his own never cease to amaze me. I am so glad that he didn't become a chartered accountant.Secondly, his liner notes were very well written and informative...but what else can we expect from the brilliant and witty Mr. Plant? My only quibble was that the print was too small for my aging eyes to read...I used my reading glasses of course but even had to add the magnifier I use for jewelry making to decipher the print.To the moaners that were disappointed...I take it that you did not read what was actually in this set before going ahead with your purchases. We were told exactly what we were getting, so I really don't understand the whines. It's all great.The last thing I will add is that Robert is a fantastic resource for those of us who are constantly looking to broaden our musical horizons. In his work, in his commentary during shows, and in his interviews, he never fails to talk about other artists that he has listened to and loved. The man has great taste and has never steered me wrong. Thank you, Robert. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Timbuktu *by B***A on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2012* Robert Plant is one of the great voices of music.Famous beyond words at 19 with Led Zep this lovely double CD shows Robert's career before and after Zep showing that his great musicianship and vocal delivery is pure class and quality. Robert has always moved forward as he has continued to prove with his albums since release of this anthology with his collaborations with Alison Krause and Band of Joy veering interestingly into country music. Robert excels with hard blues song that feature here and his version of classic "Hey Joe" is a real lung burster that makes you tingle. The live cut from Festival of the Desert is so good you can almost picture yourself there sitting atop a sand dune in the early morning as the Tuareg mill about. There is so much range and depth on this great CD. If you are a Plant/Zep fans you have to have this in your collection. Robert is a progressive musician always worth catching, always changing direction, always playing with high quality artists. This collection gives a proper perspective on a national treasure fully deserving of our love and respect.
