Review: Stopped hitting the ball back. - Worked great for the first 60 days, now it only returns the ball a few inches. Plus, you have to hit the cup almost perfectly for the ball to stay in the cradle to be hit back. Any miss-hit and the ball spins right back out, making me have to go a retrieve the ball for the next putt. I know it sounds like a first-world problem, but the whole idea behind the ball return is that it actually returns the ball.

A: I actually opened the battery cover and looked inside today, mine has two AA inside

**Q: The set came with 12 very light plastic golf balls which do not activate the ball return mechanism.  Is one supposed to use real golf balls?**
A: The plastic practice balls are a bonus. You must use real golf balls for the putting practice return to work

I own a Golf Camp/school and I've ordered almost every one of the machines that I've seen. At least six different models. this one is one of the most inexpensive and yet works as well or better than the others. It does not have the strongest kick return. The ones that plug in seem to work better in that capacity. But it works pretty well Kickin back to about 5- 6' consistently I'm carpets that roll like the greens we find on a municipal course. No not like the greens that we might find at the Masters but unfortunately I don't play it Augusta much so this one probably fits in with reality as unfortunate as that may be LOL. I consider it a plus that you have to have your speed just right to get it to stay in the cup and then if you're a little off left or right it's going to spin around the cup and roll back out with our engaging the electronic return mechanism. You missed the putt you deserve to walk over and gather the ball yourself
