**Q: Can I use this on paper?**
A: You could, but not the most practical choice for paper.  Hyde glue needs to be warmed in a glue pot.  Also hyde glue is expensive, mostly used for new furniture., and old furniture - given that the glue bond can be reversed with heat and moisture, good for furniture repairs.

**Q: As this is a lot more expensive thanTitebond liquid hide glus is it any better, If yes why?  Thank you**
A: Titebond is a PVA glue, while this is a hide glue. Pretty much the only advantage of hide glue over PVA glue is that hide glue is reversible. That is, if you apply heat (>100 degrees Fahrenheit for this glue), it will liquify, allowing you to take the glued items apart. PVA glues are permanent once they are cured. So hide glue is useful for components that might need to be replaced or repaired in the future (e.g. leather pads on a wooden tool). Note that hide glue is less convenient since you have to heat it up to apply it, whereas PVA glues are can be applied at room temperature and below (Titebond III says anything over 45 degrees Fahrenheit is sufficient).

**Q: Will this hide glue work on leather for a permanent bond ?**
A: I have used hide glue to glue leather to a wooden clamp to "soften" the possible impact/dent on the object being clamped.  If you are thinking of using hide glue on leather, it would work, but if the leather still needs to be pliable, then most likely the glue will crack and flake off.  Try some test pieces.

I had a complicated table-base to glue up, where I needed some time to work, and tried this for the first time.  Easy to use, great open-time, joints slid together beautifully,  cleaned up effortlessly, and set up rock-solid.  Keep your joinery tight; the glue works best if there are no gaps to fill.  Store it in the fridge for longer life.
