LEAF rolled the recipe back to when real sugar, non-hydrogenated oils and high-quality cocoa were used. After years of waiting, you can now enjoy Hydrox cookies once again. It tastes like the original Hydrox you remember; less sweet, more chocolate flavor and stays crispier in milk. No other cookie tastes like a Hydrox!

Review: YAY!! After 2 months, I finally got my favorite cookie!!!!!! - ***UPDATE 11/20/25*** Well, I just got my next order of cookies! It only took three months! Lol. I don’t know why the manufacturer is taking so long to fill orders, especially since they just moved into new facilities which was supposed to expedite production. Disappointed it took so long to get here but boy am I happy they’re here!! This is the best damn cookie on the planet. I hope that moving forward their production ramps up and it won’t take so long to fill orders! ***update***. 10/25: I ordered my second batch of cookies in August and they told me that the delivery date would be in October. I didn’t quite understand why there is such a lengthy delivery window. Especially when the manufacturer moved into a new factory and supposedly we’re going to be able to produce more product. Well, October has come and gone and now they’re telling me my new delivery date is in December! That would be four months for my cookies to arrive! What is going on with them? Disappointed. But that disappointment will subside when I get my cookies! I just wish this company could get there act together and meet the demand. OMG! I have waited years from my favorite cookie to return to the marketplace! I ordered these on December 30, 2024 and they just arrived today March 5, 2025. Originally they told me it would take a month for delivery and then when that month came, desertcart said it wasn't ready yet that I would have to wait another month which I didn't mind doing so long as I finally got my favorite cookie! Upon receiving, I immediately opened them up and sat down with a tall glass of cold milk and polished off about 10 cookies. A: Yes, it is true. Hydrox cookies appeared first in 1908 and Oreos came later in 1912. Oreo was actually the copycat.

**Q: Do these cookies help make america great again?**
A: You don’t eat these cookies because they make America great. You eat these cookies because they’re delicious! I… But then again, a delicious America IS a great America!

**Q: The product description says you get only six cookies for more than eighteen dollars.  Can this be right?**
A: With the 8.6 oz. package size, you get six individual 8.6 oz. packages. Each 8.6 oz. package contains 18 cookies, so essentially you get 6 packages x 18 cookies/package = 108 cookies total. The box I received has an official sticker on it from the manufacturer/baker indicating a "6 ct 8.6 trays."

**Q: Will hydrox be back permanently or just limited production runs? Love them and hoping to see them on store shelves!**
A: They may be limited if people do not buy them. Basically, Nabisco, who owns Oreo, uses anticompetitive practices to keep them off store shelves. They have contracts forbidding any grocery store from carrying Hydrox. If they break this agreement, Nabisco pulls ALL of their products from that store. This is why you can only find them online or in Cracker Barrel. The only way to keep Hydrox in production is for people to continue buying them, and to email your local grocery stores and let them know you refuse to buy Nabisco as long as they forbid competing brands.
