I use this light solely for recording YouTube podcast episodes at my desk. It is used only occasionally, but the product has been completely reliable. It will hold its charge for months when not in use. I’m not even sure it’s losing any noticeable charge when not in use. LCD info panel is great, light quality is great, temperature and brightness controls work perfectly. Offer a VERY bright light at full power! (I’ve never recorded with it at anything even close to full power. I also use it pretty close to me, so that is part of it, but it is very bright. I’ve mounted it on a Manfrotto Magic arm. The threaded receiver is metal, smoothly threaded. The few times I’ve charged it, it charged quickly.
