The bags are quite sturdy. I really like them for marinating meat and freezer storage. I also use one in my gym bag for bottles that could potentially leak. I’ve used them for everything from freezing fruit to storing leftovers, and they’ve held up beautifully without leaks or weird smells. That said… the closure is no joke. It seals tight—which is great for keeping things fresh, but less great when you’re trying to pry it back open with one hand while wrangling a toddler or slippery ingredients. I’ve definitely had to do the freezer bag version of a tug-of-war a few times. Still, I’d rather it be too strong than too flimsy.
