That's because his weight means soggy grounds sticks to his huge feet more and the canister can't take the deepset mud off. My other dog is 14kg and we've come back from walks where the little dog does fine with his canister but the big dog has simply too much mud embedded. It's big enough so I can get my fingers in to rub the backs of her legs and then I just move it up and down against her paws so the soft silicone bristles clean them.
