He can be a bit rough with it - drop it unexpectedly, toss it down, etc. We have been through a lot of different cases over the years and this one is definitely superior in durability. It was a little tough to get the iPad into the case itself - but that is ok in my book because it means the iPad is firmly in place. When inserting the iPad, you first take the plastic frame/rim and "hook" it onto the front of the iPad, then slide the iPad with the frame attached on the front into the case. The case itself is a firm material - not silicone-like and flexible. I like the stand on the back - it lays flush with the case when not in use and it swivels when in use so you can turn it any direction, therefore stand the iPad any way you need. I appreciate that this came with a glass screen protector. I had bought a separate pack in the same order to go with this.
