Note these strips are for use not requiring close accuracy. They also are not meant to test any type of water. Micro Essential has specific test paper to test water. Item number LI5900 or LI5000 are for water testing.                  Directions               Instructions for use: 1. Prepare the sample by ensuring it is at room temperature and not contaminated. 2. Dip the strip into the sample for a few seconds. 3. Remove the strip and compare the color change to the color chart provided. 4. Interpret the color change to determine the pH level. 5. Dispose of the strip after use. For accurate results, follow the instructions carefully and use the strips for general pH measurement purposes.

**Q: Can these strips test soil**
A: Yes, you can test soil by making a slurry with a small soil sample mixed with distilled water. Let the solids settle then test the water with the strip.

**Q: Do the strips have a shelf life/expiration time for once the bottle is opened?**
A: The vial I have has March 1, 2020.  There is no "when bottle is opened" date.   It seals quite tight though and the label covers the entire vial.

**Q: Can these be used for Jun and or Kombucha tea?**
A: The best tape for Kombucha is the 96 tape or the 0-6 range.

**Q: Are they accurate for testing homemade Soap ph?**
A: I would think so -- we use them to test homemade Kombucha and they work well.
